Effective October 2026GoldenHawksReunion.com helps Centennial High School (Bakersfield, CA) alumni find each other and plan class reunions. Alumni volunteers run it. It is not affiliated with Centennial High School or the Kern High School District.
The short version: your name and yearbook photos are public, your contact information is not, and you can change or remove your entry at any time.
What anyone can see
- Your name, the last name you used in high school, and your class year
- Your freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior yearbook photos
- A current photo, only if you add one and a class organizer approves it
- A tag that says whether organizers can reach you ("Contact Updated", "Update Contact", or "Help Us Contact"). The tag never shows your actual contact details.
- Student council officers and teachers as listed in the yearbooks
- For classmates who have passed away: name, year of passing, an obituary link, and memories that organizers have approved
What we keep private
| Information | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Email address, Facebook, Instagram, and X handles, and how you prefer to be contacted | You, the organizers for your class year, and the site owner |
| Your social handles, if you choose "share with signed-in classmates" | Also signed-in, verified members of your own class |
| Whether you plan to attend your reunion | You, the organizers for your class year, and the site owner |
| Tips, messages, update requests, and memories waiting for review | The organizers for the class year they're about, and the site owner |
| The email address you sign in with | The organizer who confirms your identity, and the site owner |
Organizers for one class year cannot see private information for any other class year. The database enforces this rule. Organizers can't override it, and a website bug can't bypass it. We keep a log of who views and changes private information so the site owner can check how it is being used.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for home addresses, phone numbers, birthdates, or payment information. Reunion tickets are sold through outside services, which have their own privacy policies. We don't run ads, use tracking cookies, or sell or share your information with anyone.
How we use your information
- To send reunion news by the method you prefer
- To confirm that someone asking to edit an entry is really that person
- To plan reunions, including headcounts
We don't send marketing, and we don't use your information for anything unrelated to CHS reunions.
Where it's stored
Our database, sign-in system, and uploaded photos are hosted by Supabase. The website and yearbook photos are hosted by Cloudflare. When you sign in, your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in. It isn't used for anything else.
When you upload a current photo, your browser shrinks it and removes hidden location data before it is sent.
Your choices
- Update your info at any time on the Update My Info page.
- Choose who sees your social handles, or pick "Don't contact me" to stay on the roster without being contacted.
- Remove yourself. If you are signed in, your entry, contact information, and reunion responses are deleted right away. Your photo files are deleted within 7 days. If you aren't signed in, send a removal request and we'll finish it within 7 days.
- Families can ask us to change or remove an In Memoriam entry at any time.
Yearbook photos
Yearbook photos come from CHS yearbooks, and their copyrights belong to their original owners. We use them only to help classmates recognize each other. If you want a photo of you, or a photo you hold rights to, taken down, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
Organizers sign in with a one-time email code, and each organizer has access only to their own class year. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn that private information was exposed, we will tell the affected classmates by the contact method they gave us.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while the site is running, or until you ask us to remove it. If the site shuts down, we will delete the private information.
Children
This site is for adult alumni and is not meant for anyone under 13.
Changes and questions
If we change this page, we'll update the date at the top. Send questions to the organizers through the Contact page.
